CantiaQuorum is one of the UK's most innovative ensembles, combining dynamic performance with audacious programming and concert presentation. Founded in Kent in 2014 by trumpeter Alex Caldon and violinist Alexandra Caldon, the group brings together outstanding chamber musicians from across the country. The ensemble has sought to inspire a new generation of concert-goers with its engaging approach to performance, staging programmes which juxtapose wide-ranging repertoire, often showcasing well-loved works with lesser-known gems. CantiaQuorum has ongoing collaborations with world-class soloists, singers and composers, resulting in newly commissioned works and the release of several recordings. Recent projects have included the premiere of a new work by David Knotts for chamber ensemble, an Easter performance of Passio by Arvo Pärt in Canterbury Cathedral, and performances with Jesus College choir in Cambridge featuring music by Buxtehude, Caroline Shaw and Vaughan Williams.

There has been a change in the line up to this concert from our posters. We are delighted that the highly talented Aitzi Cofre Real is now joining Will Inscoe for this concert.
Constantly exploring the never ending possibilities as an improvising vocalist, Aitzi embraces wordless singing and is deeply inspired by the likes or Norma Winstone however, her influences are broad and her unique talent is a joyous columniation of her Latin-American roots as well as her love for singers such as Ella Fitzgerald and Shirley Horn.
Will Inscoe is a jazz pianist, composer, and arranger based in London. Playing alongside John McLaughlin at La Note Bleue in Monaco, and at Ronnie Scott’s as part of Phil Meadows ‘Future Movers’ series, Will performs regularly across the UK at venues such as Pizza Express Live, Oliver’s Jazz Bar and Crazy Coqs. Will’s own projects include a dynamic and vibrant tribute to Oscar Peterson with his piano trio, debuted at Sinfonia Smith Square, and he is frequently in demand as a sideman, playing alongside jazz legends such as Matt Skelton, Danny Koo, and Louise Marshall, also performing Live on BBC Radio 3’s ‘In Tune’ with Emma Smith, and Connor Chaplin.
